Hard to focus? It isn't about discipline...
You’ve tried the timers. The 90-minute block everyone swears by, the perfect morning routine, the system a podcast promised would change your life.
And somewhere along the way — maybe after the third or fourth setup stopped working — a sneaky thought came: the problem must simply be me… my character… my willpower.
I know that disempowering thought all too well. Have heard it in my mind (and from authoritative figures) all my life.
I now see that it’s a lie.

Rest before you need to
Over the 16 years I've been a full-time soulpreneur, I’be accomplished a lot mainly because I’ve practiced creating, even when I don't feel like it…
I work on a regular rhythm. And… I don't “feel like it” most of the time at the start of each work session.

“What if it doesn’t resonate?”
The questions loop, and nothing moves…
It’s not a lack of time nor ideas.
It’s an old, internalized fear holding you back from experimenting.
I’ve been ther…
The 3 Levels of Joyful Productivity
One of the enduring questions for me — over 16 years as a soulpreneur — is this:
Is it possible to make every moment of work joyful?
I’ve noticed 3 levels that I can approach any workday… and in fact, any work hour.
Level 1: Delayed Gratification
At this first level, what drives a worker is external motivation, a focus on completing a task. Perhaps even attachment to completing it. The work process is simply a means to an end.
- Core Mindset: “I have to get this over with.” The task i…
